Dobermann Rescue Australia Wide (DRAW)
was started many years ago by the magnificent
Gail Goodwin-Smith.
The need for DRAW soon grew too big for one person to handle, with others joining to help over the years enter - Bev, Janet, Helen, & Graciey.

Gail has since retired & we all follow her dream to ensure these dogs are safe no matter their background or history.

Over the many years DRAW been operating hundreds of dobermanns have been rehomed.
DRAW continues to be the most prominent Dobermann-specific rescue in Australia, endorsed by numerous rescues, local councils & pounds. Along with many breeders & state clubs.

DRAW also has helped with fostering dogs for owners with illnesses or other personal reasons until they are back on their feet.

We have a stringent vetting process for both potential candidates for adoption & surrendered dogs to ensure we match the dogs to the best possible homes.

To us at DRAW the Dobermann always comes first.

Not all dogs that are surrendered are suitable for every lifestyle, so if you are already or wish to be on our waitlist, please be patient until the right dog for you comes along.

DRAW is a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers – we do not buy or sell dogs needing new homes. Though if a dog does require veterinary care (i.e. de-sexing etc) or transportation to their new family we do expect new owners to cover the costs.

We are now advertising all dogs available on our Facebook page – if you are interested please make sure you read the ad carefully to see if the dog suits your lifestyle & family.
Everyone MUST complete an adoption form & return it to us to be considered.
